AzHHA is a proud supporter of the #HAVhope National Day of Awareness event on Friday, June 8th. This event unites hospitals, health systems, professionals and the organizations they work with to combat violence through the use of digital media. Hospitals and their staff can help end violence in our communities, including human trafficking, where victims often face a serious medical issue and have no choice but to be taken to an emergency department or clinic. At that moment, health professionals are a critical lifeline. The Human Dignity Conference being held in Mesa on August 6-7th 2018 will prepare providers and first responders to identify and support trafficked persons.
