Shayna Diamond, Director of Community Affairs

Through research we have found that 87.8% of sex trafficking victims had contact with a healthcare provider while they were being trafficked. The most frequently reported facility for medical treatment was the hospital/ER with 63.3% of victims reporting visit(s) for care. Health professionals are a critical lifeline. The two-day Human Dignity: A Health Care Response to Human Trafficking conference to be held August 6-7, 2018 at the Phoenix Marriott Mesa in Mesa, Arizona, will offer healthcare professionals workshops including:

  • Victim-centered & trauma-informed care
  • Vulnerable patients & populations
  • Hospitals & community partnerships
