  • AzHHA members represent more than 95 percent of all hospital beds in the state, from Page to Nogales and Yuma to Springerville.
  • More than 73,000 of the state's citizens work in Arizona hospitals or health networks. In fact, since 1990, Arizona hospital employment growth has significantly outpaced the annual employment growth of hospitals nationally. During that time, Arizona hospital employment soared 46 percent, while nationwide, hospital employment increased 24 percent.
  • Every job at an Arizona hospital, generates an additional 1.5 jobs in the state.
  • Arizona's hospitals employ 63 percent more individuals than Arizona's hotel industry and 37 percent more than its electronics and aerospace industries.

Just as Arizona's dedicated healthcare professionals serve as vital advocates for patients' health, the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association (AzHHA) serves as a powerful advocate for issues that impact the quality and accessibility of healthcare in Arizona. AzHHA's membership includes health systems, hospitals and affiliated healthcare organizations that have united with the goal of improving healthcare delivery in Arizona.


Our Mission

The Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association is an organization of hospitals and health systems dedicated to providing leadership on issues affecting the delivery, quality, accessibility and cost effectiveness of healthcare. The Association accepts and shares in the responsibility for improving the health status of the people of Arizona.
