  • Arizona's medical and dental communities join forces to help fight hunger by conducting food drives in recognition of National Hunger Awareness day each June. In 2006 and 2007 respectively, 23,858 and 28,151 pounds of food were collected.
  • Arizona's hospitals band together on projects that improve the health of their communities. The Med Form, for example, has promoted medication safety since its introduction in 2005.

There to Care: Building A Healthy Arizona is an initiative launched by the AzHHA Board of Directors to build awareness of the myriad ways Arizona's hospitals contribute to their communities, beyond delivering established medical services. The goal of There to Care: Building A Healthy Arizona is to inform Arizona opinion leaders about the critical role that hospitals play in our state's economy as well as to demonstrate the many ways in which they serve as good corporate citizens in our communities.
