AzHHA's Healthcare Fights Hunger

AzHHA supports National Hunger Awareness Day each June by sponsoring Healthcare Fights Hunger, a month-long project designed to combat hunger in Arizona. Through this initiative, AzHHA members, the Arizona Medical Association (ArMA), the Arizona Academy of General Dentistry and the Association of Arizona Food Banks (AAFB) join forces to conduct a statewide food drive. The program's dual goals are to educate the public about the link between good health and good nutrition, and to help community food banks feed the 800,000 Arizonans who do not get enough to eat.
