The Healthcare Institute

AzHHA established the Healthcare Institute (HCI) in 1996 to provide workforce advocacy for its members. Led by AzHHA's Executive Vice President Adda Alexander, RN, MBA, the Institute achieves its goals through a community-based advisory board representing the health professions, hospitals, educational program, health professions students, consumers and other health care leaders. The HCI Advisory Board reports to the AzHHA Board of Directors.

HCI's statewide initiative is committed to:

  • increasing communication and collaboration among healthcare professionals, educators, regulators and employers;
  • collecting and disseminating information related to ongoing workforce redesign activities of healthcare systems; and
  • participating in studies that address the healthcare needs of Arizonans and the demands of the state's healthcare systems.
