This week the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published a scorecard that for the first time allows the public and policymakers to compare state Medicaid and CHIP performance on various quality metrics. The scorecard, which CMS refers to as the MAC Scorecard, includes measures voluntarily reported by states. In an accompanying fact sheet, CMS says it developed the MAC Scorecard to improve the programs' "transparency and accountability through public reporting." Click here to review Arizona’s scorecard.
