2023 AIM Collaborative Conference
Sept. 15, 2023
Creighton University Health Sciences Campus
3100 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85012
Every year in Arizona, a significant number of individuals tragically lose their lives within one year of pregnancy, with 15-20 deaths being directly related to pregnancy. Furthermore, nearly 900 individuals experience severe maternal morbidity during labor and delivery, facing unexpected and life-threatening complications. This disproportionately affects women of color, those living below the federal poverty level, residing in rural counties, and with pre-existing chronic conditions such as chronic hypertension.
This year's Arizona AIM Collaborative Conference is dedicated to addressing these critical issues head-on. We will focus on the Obstetric Hemorrhage Bundle developed by the Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM), a comprehensive approach aimed at reducing maternal mortality and morbidity rates in Arizona while prioritizing health equity. By implementing evidence-based practices, promoting collaboration, and integrating health equity into patient care, we strive to create a safer and more equitable maternal healthcare system in Arizona.
The conference will showcase a lineup of esteemed speakers from across the state who are at the forefront of maternal health initiatives and advocates for integrating health equity into patient care. Through their engaging presentations, attendees will gain valuable insights, innovative strategies, and practical tools to enhance their clinical practice and leadership roles.
