AHCCCS to begin collecting data for HEALTHII payments next month
What’s new: The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) will be collecting information on eight hospital self-reported measures from Wednesday, Oct. 16 to Friday, Nov. 29, 2024.
Why It matters: AHCCCS currently ties 15% of HEALTHII payments to whether hospitals report certain metrics.
- AzHHA expects that to either remain the same or increase in future years.
- Failure to report these measures will likely result in a loss of funding for any hospital which fails to report.
What’s next: AHCCCS limits portal access to a limited number of individuals from each hospital.
- If your hospital would like to provide access to additional individuals, please share the name(s) and email address(es) for any anticipated new portal users, as soon as possible in an email addressed to the AHCCCS HEALTHII team.
- Individuals with access may then begin submitting information on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024.

Why it matters: Advance care planning is for everyone who wants control over their medical care and peace of mind for themselves and their families.
