AzHHA’s 2024 Legislative Report is now in member mailboxes and available online.

Why it matters: The report details AzHHA’s 2024 advocacy efforts including:

  • protecting hospitals through a significant overhaul of licensure,
  • holding healthcare insurers accountable,
  • improving interfacility transportation, and
  • ensuring that hospitals do not face additional cuts in the event of a budget shortfall.

AzHHA launches voter information page

In alignment with the American Hospital Association’s national We Care, We Vote campaign, AzHHA has launched a voter information page on its website.

  • This resource page is to help ensure we collectively support Arizona hospital and healthcare systems and protect access to quality healthcare for all Arizonans.

Why it matters: You can:

  • Learn about top issues facing our state and what to ask candidates.
  • Find helpful links for election and voting information in Arizona.
  • Access sample social media messages and a toolkit of resources from Vot-ER to help get out the vote within your facility and community.

Registration now open: 2024 AIM Collaborative Conference

Join us for this year’s conference from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, at Creighton University Health Sciences Campus.

  • All hospital and birthing facility staff are invited to attend this free event.

Why it matters: This conference will focus on efforts to enhance care for maternal mental health conditions, reduce the stigma around substance use disorders (SUDs) and improve support across healthcare environments, including care for neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) infants.

  • Hear from engaging speakers presenting on the latest in evidence-based maternal healthcare and receive tools and clinical advice to overcome barriers to high-quality and equitable care.
