ADHS creates hospital resource guide for COVID-19 response

Hospital Resource Guide has been created by ADHS to assist acute care facilities in securing needed staffing, supplies, and space capacity. The resource guide provides sources to support facilities’ navigation of licensing and waivers, Crisis Standards of Care and the and the FEMA Public Assistance Program. Portal open to apply for $15 billion in federal funding for Medicaid & CHIP providers

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is planning a targeted distribution of approximately $15 billion for Medicaid and CHIP providers who did not receive payments through the general distributions. The payment to each provider will equal approximately 2% of reported gross revenue from all payer sources from patient care for calendar year 2017, 2018 or 2019, as selected by the applicant and accompanying submitted tax documentation. Read

FDA issues emergency use authorization for point of care antigen test

Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) has been issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) this week for the use of Becton Dickinson (BD) Veritor System for Rapid Detection of SARS-CoV-2. The test is the second antigen diagnostic to earn emergency use authorization from the FDA. Read
