Health and safety guidelines encourage people to wear face masks or coverings when in public spaces where physical distancing is not possible or there is poor air ventilation. The use of facemasks have been proven to help slow the spread of COVID-19 which can lead to healthier communities. The Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association encourages all Arizonans to take part in these efforts and encourage community members to

- continue physically distancing (6 feet or more distance) with those outside of your home and
- follow public health precautions including staying home when sick, frequently washing one’s hands and cleaning/disinfecting frequently.
