Healthcare administrators and clinical leaders of the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association (AzHHA) member hospitals, as well as faculty members from the Creighton University School of Medicine, will be participating and empowered by the programming to ascend to higher levels of organizational leadership with this innovative initiative.

The academy’s training programs will equip all participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead effectively in the complex and ever-changing world of healthcare administration and management.

"This program will develop healthcare leaders capable of introducing effective innovation into hospital settings that will ultimately enhance the experience and care of patients," said Gayla Stoner, Ph.D., dean of the Creighton University College of Professional and Continuing Education. "Our objective is to provide participants with the skills to address broader healthcare needs, extending beyond providers, to improve medical care in our local communities.”

The academy's curriculum features a blend of virtual synchronous learning and self-paced modules, including immersive experiences such as the "Friday Night at the ER – Systems Thinking Simulation." Participants will explore crucial topics including healthcare strategy, quality improvement, health law, finance and human resources management.

AzHHA will feature impact stories from Healthcare Leadership Academy participants like Lori Ray, MSN, RN, CEN.

“As a seasoned chief nursing officer with 19 years of experience, I applied for this opportunity to enhance my leadership skills. In healthcare's evolving landscape, continuous learning is vital for success.
