Affiliated Partners Program

The Affiliated Partners Program (APP) helps AzHHA members achieve their missions and improve the health of people and communities across the state by providing meaningful, innovative, and affordable business solutions that meet the needs identified by the program’s board of directors. 

Companies interested in partnership undergo a strategic vetting process overseen by the program’s board of directors to ensure they provide the right products and services needed to respond to the ever-changing healthcare landscape.

APP’s focus areas are:

  • Workforce – addressing all aspects of the healthcare workforce, including clinical and operational, permanent and contingent, and entry-level to C-suite, with resources to recruit and retain a qualified labor force
  • Financial Stability – enhancing economic processes, managing risks, and fostering fiscal resilience
  • Quality – offering services that address the safety, effectiveness, patient-centricity, timeliness, efficiency, and/or equitability of care
  • Innovation – introducing a new or improved product or service to the healthcare market, including but not limited to technological resources

careLearning is a non-profit online education company designed to help healthcare organizations by providing reliable, trusted, and easily accessible education solutions. Governed by the state hospital associations responsible for its creation almost 25 years ago, careLearning offers high-value, low-cost solutions that include a Learning Management System (LMS) comprised of a full course catalog for healthcare that includes but is not limited to compliance and regulatory education; course creation capabilities; a course sharing library; free continuing education units for a variety of disciplines; curriculum management and deployment to streamline content delivery; and full-time, no-cost product support and training for administrators. Hospital Services Corporation (HSC) is an award-winning provider of services to the healthcare industry, operating as a subsidiary of the New Mexico Hospital Association. HSC’s staff readiness and health insurance aggregator services include:

  • Practitioner credentials verification – As an NCQA-certified Credentials Verification Organization (CVO), HSC shortens the time for hospital practitioners to be enrolled and reimbursed by your contracted health plans. This service is fast and accurate, with an average of 18 days to secure verifications.
  • Provider enrollment – HSC will enroll and re-enroll physicians and other practitioners with Medicare, AHCCCS, and your contracted commercial payers by navigating each payer’s documents, processes, and requirements.
  • HealthXNet – An insurance portal that aggregates Arizona’s payers to assist your staff with eligibility verification, co-pays/deductible amounts, claim status inquiries, and management of prior authorizations, all in one web-based system.

Solution: Peer Review Service

As a subsidiary of the Washington State Hospital Association, Washington Hospital Services offers an external peer review service to AzHHA member hospitals, providing a systematic evaluation of quality and appropriateness of patient care and diagnosis, occurring on-site or remotely and across a variety of service lines. This peer review service, which was originally designed around helping critical access hospitals meet CMS conditions of participation, is also available to larger organizations looking to free up staff time and resources.
