Karla Hartline
Vice President of Finance and Operations
With more than 20 years of experience in finance within the nonprofit sector, Karla Hartline serves as the vice president of finance and operations for the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association (AzHHA). She is responsible for providing oversight and strategic direction of financial processes for the organization in addition to managing the internal HR and IT functions. Karla also leads daily operations to ensure cost-effective solutions and oversees monthly accounting tasks performed by the finance team.
In 2016, she joined AzHHA as the accounting manager. Karla was promoted to director, finance and operations in January 2020 and then moved into her current role in January 2023. Prior to joining AzHHA, she served in a variety of roles with progressive responsibility in finance and accounting including spending nearly 13 years with VALLEYLIFE. Karla’s expertise in business operations, accounting strategies, financial analysis and project management is coupled with her proven ability to drive process improvements, enhance efficiency and achieve cost savings.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Western International University. Karla also completed a Nonprofit Leadership Certificate from the American Express Leadership Academy.
